How To Add The Referral Campaign Widget To Your Website – Referral Factory

To make it even easier for you to get people joining your referral program, we have created a widget that you can install on your website. This will allow visitors to your website to click on the widget and immediately join your referral campaign.

To install the widget on your Wordpress website all you need to do is the following:

Login to your Referral Factory account.
Navigate to 'Campaigns'
Select the campaign you want to use for the widget.
Go to the 'Outputs' tab.
Select the widget icon.
Enter the text that you want on the widget.
Copy the entire <script> section.

Next, login to your Wordpress dashboard.
Navigate to 'Plugins'.
Search for the plugin 'Insert Headers and Footers'.
Install the plugin.
Activate the plugin.
Go to 'Settings'.
Select 'Insert Headers and Footers'.
Copy and paste the widget <script> in the Footers section.

Important: The widget will only work when it is correctly placed inside of the 'Footer'. It will not work in the 'Header' or the 'Body'.

To install the widget on your website all you need to do is the following:

Navigate to the Outputs tab of your campaign
Enter the text that you want on the widget.
Copy the widget code that you need to put on your website.
Go to the source code for your website or home page.
Paste your widget's code underneath the body - right after the </body> tag (try pasting inside the footer).

Below are two examples of what the widget looks like on our own website.
The first one is what the widget looks like before you click on it. The text "Refer Friends" can be edited.
The second screenshot is what the widget looks like once it's been clicked on or opened.
