Updated over 3 months ago

Below is a table with the key concepts you'll need to know when navigating your way around our referral program software and building your referral program.

Dashboard

This is the home screen you will see when you log into Referral Factory. You will see your account statistics like reach, total users, referrals, and, referrals per person as well as our 100+ templates.

Reach

This refers to the total number of times your campaign has been viewed. This includes views by both the person referring and the person being invited.

Referrals

This is the total number of people who have signed up to your campaign via a referral link or QR code, these are also called referred users and their type is always 'person invited'.

Qualified Referrals

A qualified referred user is one who successfully takes action (this could be a sale, a contract signed, an account opened, or any other action that can turn a referred user into an actual customer).

Converted Referrals

A user gets a converted referral when someone they refer to you, qualifies. So John refers Sally, and Sally takes action and buys... so she qualifies. In this case John gets an extra converted referral.

Avg Referrals Per User

The Average Referrals Per User metric indicates the average number of times each user has referred someone to your campaign.

Users

Anyone in your referral campaign - this includes both the person referring and the person invited.

A referral link is the unique link that each user is given when they join a referral campaign. This link can be shared with friends, family, colleagues, and anyone in their network. If this is clicked, it opens the page you design for the person invited in the campaign builder.

QR Code

Each user has a unique QR Code - if this is scanned, it opens the page you design for the person invited in the campaign builder. Essentially its just an easy way for a person to share their referral link in real life.

Source

This shows how each user joined your campaign. We call this the original source of the user. It can be: Direct, Referred, Pop Up, Widget, Added, API, Zapier, Embed, Test.

Type

It shows the type of user - they can be a person referring, or a person invited. It is possible that a person invited can also become a person referring in time.

Referred By

The name of the person who referred this user, if you hover over the name you can see the email too. If this is blank, it means the user was not referred.

Verified

If you turn user verification on, it sends a magic link to all new sign ups to verify their emails before progressing. This column shows the users who have verified their emails.

Qualified At

The date the referred user qualified.
