How To Personalize Your Referral Program Pages and Emails Using Dynamic Variables

Using dynamic variables to personalize your campaign increases trust and credibility of your referral program.

Updated over a week ago

Personalizing your referral program pages and emails increases trust and relevance, drives higher conversion rates, and fosters stronger customer loyalty. Here's how to add dynamic variables to your referral program pages and emails.

What is a dynamic variable?

Dynamic variables like {First Name} use recipient data to personalize pages and emails. In this example, the system replaces the variable with each recipient's actual first name, making the pages and emails more engaging and relevant. This personalization can boost open rates and overall referral campaign effectiveness.

In Referral Factory, you have the following default dynamic variables:

πŸ‘‰ {First Name}

πŸ‘‰ {Referrals}

πŸ‘‰ {Converted Referrals}

You can find the available dynamic variables by clicking the Personalization block.

You also have the option to use any additional form fields added to Step 1 for the Person Referring or Step 1 for the Person Invited as dynamic variables. For example, if you add a form field for "Company Name" to Step 1 for the Person Referring, it will become available as a dynamic variable in Step 2 for the Person Referring and Step 1 for the Person Invited.

Once you know which variable you'd like to insert, simply copy and paste it into the text box with the curly brackets on either side. For example,

{First Name}

❗️ Please note that if you change the label for the default form fields {First Name}, the dynamic variable will remain {First Name}.
