How To Add A Share Message That Gets Shared With A Referral Link On Social Media

In this help guide, we’re going to show you how you can add “Message Subject” and “Message Text” to your referral campaign that gets shared with a referral link on social media.

The message subject and the message text are the texts that will pre-populate when referrers share their link with friends and family. 🙌

This is a great way to give the person invited more context about your business that encourages them to click.

To do this, navigate to your Campaign BuilderSecond Step For Person Referring Page click on the Share Settings icon.

On the second step for person referring page, you can 👇

  • Choose which social media channels the person referring can share on. Channels we have: Facebook, Whatsapp, Twitter, Messenger, Text Message, Email, Line, WeChat, Telegram, and LinkedIn.
  • You can choose Regular, Black, or White icons for your campaign.
  • Include a pre-populated message that goes with the referral link - message subject and message text.

Important to know!

If you also want to ask the person invited to refer, then you can also include share settings from the second step for the person invited pages.

Basically, if you choose this option, you will create a loop. This is a great option if you're using Referral Factory to #spread the word in a viral way.

The following are some examples of live campaigns in which a person shares a link with a friend through WhatsApp, Facebook, and Telegram.

Please Note: when you paste your join link or referral link on social media channels, the message subject and message text will appear. However, if you go back and change the message subject and message text of your campaign again, save your changes, and paste it again on social media channels, you might not see the new edited message subject and text. The old one will remain unless you clear your browser’s cache.
