If you need to remove the connection between Referral Factory and HubSpot, you can do this from either platform. This article covers both options.
⚠️ Disconnecting the integration will not delete any data from Referral Factory or HubSpot — all existing data on both sides remains intact. However, any active syncs and workflows will stop immediately. This means Referral Factory will no longer enrol HubSpot contacts as referrers, send referral links back into HubSpot, or update contact records based on referral activity.
Option 1: Disconnect From Inside Referral Factory
Go to Settings in your Referral Factory account. In the left-hand navigation, click Settings, then select the Integrations And Pixels tab.
Click Disconnect next to HubSpot. If HubSpot is currently connected, the button will show Disconnect. Click it to remove the connection. The integration will be deactivated immediately.
Option 2: Uninstall From Inside HubSpot
You can also uninstall Referral Factory directly from your HubSpot account. HubSpot’s own guidance on managing connected apps is available here:
Go to Connected Apps in HubSpot. In your HubSpot account, click the Settings icon in the top navigation bar. In the left sidebar, navigate to Integrations > Connected Apps. You’ll see Referral Factory listed under My Apps.
Open the Actions menu. Find Referral Factory in the app list and click the Actions button on the right-hand side.
Click Uninstall. From the dropdown, select Uninstall.
Confirm the uninstall. A confirmation dialog will appear: “Uninstall Referral Factory? This won’t delete any existing Referral Factory data in HubSpot, but it will no longer be updated.” Type uninstall in the field provided and click Uninstall to confirm.
Reconnecting Later
Disconnecting is reversible. If you want to reconnect the integration in the future, you can do so at any time — your existing data will still be there on both sides. See “How To Connect HubSpot To Referral Factory” or “How To Install Referral Factory From The HubSpot Marketplace”.
