In referral marketing, a viral loop refers to a self-sustaining cycle where existing users refer new users, who then, in turn, become referrers themselves after converting or qualifying as a successful referral. This creates a continuous loop of referrals, ideally leading to exponential growth in user acquisition.
If you plan to ask your qualified referrals to refer their friends, Referral Factory can change the pages they see:
→ From the Campaigns tab, click on Edit Campaign.
→ Navigate to the campaign Settings and open the section called User Behaviour.
→ Click on the check box to treat all future referred users as the Person Referring after they qualify.
If you already have referred users or invited people inside your campaign, you can update their behaviour from your users tab by following these steps below.
→ Click on the blue drop-down underneath the Actions column.
→ Click Edit.
→ Click on the drop-down and choose "Behave like person referring"
→ Click Save.
Users will NOT be notified or sent their referral link. You have two options:
1. Use the once-off email function to manually notify your new referrers. You can send this email to your newly referring users by creating an audience with the following filters:
Source of user = referred
Type of user = referring
This will show all users who joined as a Person Invited (i.e., they were referred) but their user type has been updated to a Person Referring.
2. You can automatically notify your new referrers by switching on the email notification "For the person invited (when they qualify, often becoming a customer, for example having a status change in your CRM)". You can include their unique referral link in this email by toggling it on in the Share panel on the right hand side of the builder.
