1. Troubleshoot Your Salesforce Connection

🤔 Problem

You get an error modal saying your Salesforce account doesn't meet the requirements to connect.

✅ Try This

👉 Referral Factory requires access to your Salesforce account via API. Please note that the following Salesforce editions do not support API access: Group Edition, Essentials Edition, and Professional Edition. You can learn more here

👉 If your Salesforce edition does allow API access, then check that API access is enabled. This requires Salesforce Administrator credentials because your Salesforce Administrator controls your Profile and Permission Sets. Read this guide for step-by-step instructions: 📖 How To Enable API Access in Salesforce for the Referral Factory Integration 📖

👉 Do you have a custom domain in Salesforce? If so, then please contact our support team to manually configure your Salesforce integration.

2. Troubleshoot Your Salesforce Sync

🤔 Problem

You've successfully connected Salesforce and have used the "Sync CRM Contacts" function to automatically add users to your referral program and send their unique referral links back into Salesforce but no users have been added in Referral Factory and/or no referral links have populated into Salesforce.

✅ Try This

👉  Wait up to 12 hours. Referral Factory is busy syncing thousands of data points at any given time. Your sync is probably in the queue and changes will reflect within 12 hours, depending on the number of contacts you have chosen to sync. If after 12 hours, the problem persists, please contact our support team

🤔 Problem

You've successfully connected the Salesforce integration but new referred users aren't being sent to Salesforce as leads.

✅ Try This

👉 Make sure you have configured the integration settings from inside the campaign builder. Learn more here 📖 Salesforce And Referral Factory Integration: A Full Guide 📖.

👉 Check that all the required fields have been mapped in the integration settings. Salesforce requires the following fields in order to create a lead:

  • First Name
  • Last Name
  • Email Address
  • Company
  • Referral Code

👉  Wait up to 12 hours. Referral Factory is busy syncing thousands of data points at any given time. Your sync is probably in the queue and changes will reflect within 12 hours, depending on the number of contacts you have chosen to sync. 3. Troubleshoot Your Salesforce Qualification Trigger

🤔 Problem

You've configured the Salesforce integration in the campaign builder but new referred users aren't being qualified according to your selected qualification option (When a Lead Status Changes, When a Lead Converts into an Opportunity, or When a Lead Converts into an Opportunity and Moves to a Specific Stage).

✅ Try This

👉  Check that all the required fields have been mapped in the integration settings. Salesforce requires the following fields in order to create a lead:

  • First Name
  • Last Name
  • Email Address
  • Company
  • Referral Code

👉  Check that all the field relationships between Salesforce objects (Lead, Contact, Account, Opportunity) have been mapped correctly.

👉  Wait up to 12 hours. Referral Factory is busy syncing thousands of data points at any given time. Your sync is probably in the queue and changes will reflect within 12 hours, depending on the number of contacts you have chosen to sync. 4. Troubleshoot Finding Your List of Salesforce Contacts To Sync

🤔 Problem

You want to sync a particular list of CRM contacts but when you search, it doesn't show in the available list in the dropdown select.

✅ Try This

👉 Check that you've spelled the name of the list correctly.

👉 If you have a significant number of lists in your CRM, we recommend scrolling to the bottom of the list multiple times. This is because only 100 lists are loaded at a time, and scrolling to the bottom will allow more lists to load.

👉 If you recently created the list, you can try resolving the issue by disconnecting your CRM integration and clearing your cache. After doing so, reconnect and attempt again to see if the list appears in the available options.
