There are three types of email notifications that you can include in your referral program. These email notifications can be customized on the "Notifications" step inside your campaign builder. Read more about that here.
You also have the option to turn off these email notifications and simply send emails from your own CRM that follow your standard business processes. To do that, just deselect the email you don't want to use.
*To access all email notifications, users must be on the Basic plan or more.
First Email Notifications
These email notifications go out once a person referring or a person invited joins your campaign.
To the person referring their friends – Choose to send an email to your existing customers when they join your campaign to become a referrer in step one.
Tip: Use this email to give the person referring more information about how your referral program will work, what they will be rewarded with for referring their friends, and a strong call to action that encourages them to keep referring their friends.
To the person being invited – Choose to send the person invited an email as soon as they sign up on Step three. This email will be populated with user details that are captured in Step three of your campaign.
Tip: Use this email to provide more information about your business, what the incentive is to convert (if applicable), and what actions or steps are needed to qualify.
Second Email Notifications
These email notifications go out once a referral has been qualified or successfully converted.
To the person referring their friends – Choose to email the person inviting their friends to let them know when someone they referred has converted.
Tip: Use this email to let them know when they can expect their reward.
To the person being invited – Choose to email the person invited to welcome them to your network or thank them for becoming a customer once they have converted.
Tip: Use this email to thank them for becoming a customer and ask them to refer their own friends and share their unique referral link with them.
To the person referring their friends – Remind existing users about your referral program and encourage them to keep referring their friends. Choose the intervals that you want these emails to be sent at by selecting the option from the drop-down menu.
To the person being invited – If a referred lead doesn’t convert straight away enable this notification to send them reminders that encourage them to convert. These will continue to be sent until they have successfully converted or the campaign ends.
