How To Add A Fixed Amount Reward

Fixed amount rewards in referral programs offer set values, like $20 gift cards or €5 credits, for each referral, regardless of spending.

How To Add A Fixed Amount Reward and Issue it Yourself

Step 1: Add Reward From the Rewards Dashboard

→ In the left-hand navigation bar of your Referral Factory dashboard, click the Rewards tab and select Dashboard from the dropdown menu.

→ Select the Fixed Amount tab.

→ Click Add Reward.

Step 2: Name Your Reward and Link A Campaign

→ Name the reward. This is used for internal management purposes and won’t be shown to your users.

→ Select the relevant campaign.

→ Click Create.

❗️ Rewards are linked to campaigns. If you have multiple campaigns and want to issue rewards in each of them, you will need to create multiple rewards.

Step 3: Choose Who Should Be Rewarded and Select Whether It Should Be Once Off or Recurring

→ Choose who should be rewarded: the Person Referring or the Person Invited. If you want to reward both users in the same campaign, you should create multiple rewards.

→ Select whether your reward should be issued once off or as a recurring reward.

→ Click Next.

Step 4: Select How and When to Issue the Reward

→ For the issuing method, select Issue Yourself.

→ Select when you want the reward to be triggered.

→ Click Next.

❗️ Since Fixed Amount rewards have a monetary value, they cannot be triggered when the Person Referring joins your campaign or when a Person Invited signs up via a referral link. This protective measure ensures that you only pay rewards for qualified/converted referrals.

Step 5: Set the Currency, Value and Target

→ Select the currency and set the value of your reward.

→ If applicable, set the target number of referrals or converted referrals that should trigger the reward.

→ Click Next.

Step 6 (Optional): Create an Email Notification

→ To trigger an email when a reward is issued, toggle the feature on and use the drag-and-drop builder to edit it. Your email notification will be automatically styled in the design of your campaign.

→ Click Next.

📌 You can disable or edit this email notification from the Rewards Dashboard by clicking the blue button in the Actions column alongside the relevant reward.

Step 7: Activate Your Reward

→ If you would like to automatically issue rewards, toggle on auto-issue. This means you will not have to authorize these rewards to be issued, they will be issued automatically. This method is NOT recommended.

→ Set whether you would like to limit the number of rewards that can be issued to any single user. The limit is the number of rewards to be issued, not the value of the rewards.

→ Click Activate.

How To Add A Fixed Amount Reward and Issue it Via Tremendous

Step 1: Prefund Your Tremendous Account Balance

→ To use Tremendous and Referral Factory, you must prefund a balance in Tremendous. Rewards issued via Referral Factory will then be deducted from that balance in Tremendous. Unfortunately, it is not possible to use the other payment options at this time.

❗️ Tremendous processes all payments for the rewards you issue. These payments are not handled by Referral Factory.

Step 2: Create a Tremendous Campaign

Configure your rewards campaign in Tremendous. A campaign in Tremendous has 2 purposes: a.) to define the catalog of reward options available to your recipients and b.) to set the visual presentation (webpage and email notification) of the reward

Step 3: Add Reward From the Rewards Dashboard in Referral Factory

→ In the left-hand navigation bar of your Referral Factory dashboard, click the Rewards tab and select Dashboard from the dropdown menu.

→ Select the Fixed Amount tab.

→ Click Add Reward.

Step 4: Name Your Reward and Link A Campaign

→ Name the reward. This is used for internal management purposes and won’t be shown to your users.

→ Select the relevant campaign.

→ Click Create.

❗️ Rewards are linked to campaigns. If you have multiple campaigns and want to issue rewards in each of them, you will need to create multiple rewards.

Step 5: Choose Who Should Be Rewarded and Select Whether It Should Be Once Off or Recurring

→ Choose who should be rewarded: the Person Referring or the Person Invited. If you want to reward both users in the same campaign, you should create multiple rewards.

→ Select whether your reward should be issued once off or as a recurring reward.

→ Click Next.

Step 6: Select How and When to Issue the Reward

→ For the issuing method, select Tremendous.

→ Select when you want the reward to be triggered.

→ Click Next.

❗️ Since Fixed Amount rewards have a monetary value, they cannot be triggered when the Person Referring joins your campaign or when a Person Invited signs up via a referral link. This protective measure ensures that you only pay rewards for qualified/converted referrals.

Step 7: Set the Currency, Value and Target

→ Select the currency and set the value of your reward.

→ If applicable, set the target number of referrals or converted referrals that should trigger the reward.

→ Use the dropdown list to select the Tremendous campaign you created in Step 2. If your recently created Tremendous campaign isn’t available for selection, click the refresh button.

→ Click Next.

Step 8 (Optional): Create an Email Notification

→ To trigger an email when a reward is issued, toggle the feature on and use the drag-and-drop builder to edit it. Your email notification will be automatically styled in the design of your campaign.

→ Click Next.

How To Add A Fixed Amount Reward and Issue it Via Paypal

Step 1: Connect Your PayPal Business Account

→ Connect your PayPal account in the Integrations section of your Referral Factory dashboard.

→ Follow the prompts to authorize access for payouts.

→ Confirm that you have Payouts enabled in your PayPal settings.

Step 2: Add Reward from the Rewards Dashboard

→ Go to the Rewards tab
→ Select Dashboard

→ Click the Fixed Amount tab

→ Click Add Reward

Step 3: Name Your Reward and Link a Campaign

→ Enter a name for your reward (this is internal only).

→ Select the campaign where this reward should be issued.

→ Click Create.

❗ Rewards are campaign-specific. You must create individual rewards for each campaign.

Step 4: Choose Who Gets Rewarded and the Frequency

→ Select whether this reward is for the Person Referring or Person Invited.

→ Choose whether the reward should be issued once-off or recurring.

→ Click Next.

Step 5: Set How and When to Issue the Reward

→ For issuing method, select PayPal.

→ Choose the event that will trigger the reward (e.g. 1 converted referral).

→ Click Next.

❗ Because PayPal rewards are monetary, they cannot be triggered when the Person Referring joins your campaign or when a Person Invited signs up via a referral link. This protective measure ensures that you only pay rewards for qualified/converted referrals.

Step 6: Define Currency, Value, and Target

→ Set the currency and value of the reward.

→ Optionally, define a target number of referrals required to unlock the reward.

→ Click Next.

Step 7 (Optional): Email Notification

→ Toggle email notification ON if you'd like an email to be sent when the reward is issued.

→ Use the drag-and-drop editor to customize the message.

→ Click Next.

📌 You can disable or edit this email notification from the Rewards Dashboard by clicking the blue button in the Actions column alongside the relevant reward.

Step 8: Activate Your Reward

→ Toggle Auto-Issue ON if you want rewards to be issued without manual approval (not recommended).

→ Set a limit for how many times a reward can be issued per user (optional).

→ Click Activate.

Step 1: Add Reward From the Rewards Dashboard

→ Navigate to Zapier and create a Zap with the trigger app as Referral Factory and the trigger event as Reward Issued. Follow the prompts to connect your Referral Factory account, select the reward you have created in the previous steps and test your trigger.

→ Select your app of choice as the action app and follow the prompts to connect your account, and refine and test your action.

→ Publish your Zap.

→ Select your app of choice as the action app and follow the prompts to connect your account, and refine and test your action.

→ Publish your scenario.
